Zuna ProjectLocationThe Zuna Exploration permit granted for 750 Ha for mineral exploration. The Permit is located approximately 10 kilometers south of the town of Huejuquilla el Alto and encompasses the Butte “Salitre”. The asphalt road enters the Zuna Exploration permit on the east side of the property, located in Jalisco state. The Zuna Concession lays on top of the same geological phenomenon (Ring Fracture) as Los Tres Machos. PermitMexican Hunter has a 100% interest in the Zuna Exploration Permit. Title was awarded by the Secretaria De Economica Coordinacion General De Mineria on October 11, 2006. All property fees and taxes have been fully paid. GeologyOligocene-Miocene volcanics are the main rocktypes at Zuna. Remnant sediments are found at the top of el Salitre. Porphyritic andesite dikes and sills have been noted, likely associated with the intrusive centre 3km to the east. EL Salitre is an inselberg outlier of tuff and pyroclastic volcanics, rendered resistant to erosion by silicification during mineralisation. A 1-2 meter thick flat-lying quartz-chalcedony vein breccia is found near its base. Several other near horizontal vein breccias occur on this hill. The horizontal orientation of vein breccias may be due to ponding at the base of an impermeable unit (ignimbrite). The underlying feeder zones of these veins make for a very interesting exploration target. Historical ExplorationNo historical hard-rock mining was done at Zuna, however placers were worked. ResourceTesting was done at Zuna during staking in 2006. Thirty six samples were submitted for fire assay. The average results of all samples yield 2.13 grams per ton of Au and 126 grams per ton of Ag. At the moment, the Company has estimated a 5,000,000 ton deposit (non I 43-101 compliant) and with additional extensive drilling the amount may increase significantly. Over the years, third party geologists and engineers hired to evaluate the area have all expressed great interest in this project and are waiting to see how Mexican Hunter explores this giant potential world-class deposit. Business StrategyThe high values seen over a large area within the Zuna deposit, gives confidence that this will be a major deposit of gold and silver mineralization and will have the potential to be declared a world class mine once drilling is completed. The exploration work will include proper ground controls, mapping, geological, topographical, geochemical and core drilling. At the same time Mexican hunter exploration shall undertake a program to complete a NI 43-101 to comply with the GAP standards for public |
